Job Summary:
The Director of Operations ensures the campus operates efficiently, complies with institutional policies and regulatory bodies, and fosters an atmosphere where students are empowered to succeed. This leader drives campus-wide initiatives that strengthen student success, persistence, and retention, while partnering closely with academic and administrative leadership to support curricular quality from an operational perspective and sustain a culture of belonging and professionalism.
The Director is actively engaged in the daily management of the campus, advancing initiatives that deliver exceptional service to students, encourage effective collaboration across departments, and uphold a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Campus Operations – Serve as the on-site administrator overseeing daily campus operations, ensuring efficiency in student services, registration and records, compliance, and conduct while driving continuous improvement and accountability across departments.
- Strengthen Student Success & Retention – Lead campus-wide initiatives to improve persistence and completion; supervise retention staff and coordinate proactive strategies for at-risk students.
- Oversee Student Conduct – Enforce professionalism and conduct standards fairly and consistently, documenting incidents and fostering a respectful, accountable student culture.
- Ensure Compliance & Accreditation – Collaborate with the Compliance Department to maintain readiness for audits, site visits, and program reviews, while ensuring ongoing compliance with ABHES, IBHE, DOE, Title IX, FERPA, and institutional policies.
- Drive Operational Excellence – Develop and maintain handbooks, workflows, and documentation that enhance consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support Campus Culture – Partner with leadership to promote professionalism, belonging, and collaboration across departments, while supervising support staff development and performance.
- Engage the Community – Represent ATS in community events and build partnerships with employers, clinical partners, and local organizations to expand opportunities for students.

Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Education Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive leadership in higher education operations or campus administration.
- Knowledge Base: Strong understanding of accreditation, compliance, Title IV, and regulatory standards.
- Skills & Leadership Style:
- Proven success in operational leadership, compliance, and process improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust across students, staff, and partners.
