Job Description

Reporting directly to the VP of Commercial Marketing, Digital & Analytics, the role will oversee a team of marketing and digital professionals to deliver exceptional digital experiences that drive business growth, customer engagement, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Lead the organization responsible for building the digital roadmap and business cases to support a streamlined, integrated commercial technology stack that delivers on customer needs, improves commercial productivity and achieves key business outcomes

  • Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer and Global Commercial Leadership Team to develop a vision and strategy for digitization of Agilent’s commercial processes (both internal and customer-facing), with a focus on creating a digital first, omnichannel approach
  • Partner closely with key business leaders (in sales, commercial marketing, and solution units) to understand business priorities and define an enterprise-wide approach to deliver solutions that create value for customers
  • Define digital innovation priorities for internal commercial process optimization and customer experience; leverage resources to pilot enhancements
  • Act as a thought leader and change agent for driving best in class digital business models into the wider commercial organization and extended partner organizations (including digital technology, data, analytics, and AI)
  • Partner with IT to build plans that optimize the use of technology, AI, data, and automation to meet our drive our strategy
  • Stay informed on technology trends and continuously evolving the technology ecosystem, including marketing technology/website principles, technologies, data modeling, and architecture.
  • Ensure the successful execution of prioritized initiatives, highlight cross-functional dependencies, facilitate the reduction of roadblocks, and support day-to-day operations/improvement efforts
  • Implement effective prioritization frameworks that align team efforts with strategic business objectives
  • Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

About You: To be considered for the AVP of Digital Strategy and Innovation you must possess:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Business, Marketing, or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, technology, and analytics roles, preferably within a Life Sciences industry vertical
  • Demonstrated track record of driving digital transformation initiatives in B2B SaaS environments
  • Experience working large matrix organizations with complex portfolios (encompassing products, services, and instrumentation) across diverse end markets
  • Ability to pilot and scale digital innovations into tangible business outcomes and competitive advantages
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging data and analytics to drive business results
  • Experience building automated marketing systems that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels, technologies, and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of marketing technology platforms, integration approaches, and vendor management
  • Expertise in data analytics, AI/ML technologies, measurement frameworks, performance optimization
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into actionable plans
  • Excellent prioritization skills with ability to focus resources on highest impact initiatives
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing automation systems and workflow optimization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence at all levels
  • Financial acumen with experience developing business cases that effectively communication ROI, enterprise value creation, along with experience managing significant digital and marketing budgets
  • Change management expertise with ability to drive organizational transformation

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $216,800.00 - $406,500.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
